When I first met my Personal Trainer, James Gleeson, in 2012, I had just had a baby and was ready to shed the excess baby weight I had gained through pregnancy. My diet was pretty “healthy” at the time, so I was confident when we began to talk about meals and diet, and had no problem revealing my patterns.

I was shocked (and a little shattered) when James analyzed my lifestyle and eating patterns and revealed to me that many my movement patterns and food choices were actually negatively affecting my health. Many of the things I thought I was doing right were challenged. He set some new guidelines for me, and I started implementing what at the time seemed almost impossible. I started a mobility protocol and removed sugar from my diet immediately. My goal at the time was to regain my core strength, reestablish confidence in my lower back and pelvic stability, lose body fat, and gain back my strength through the shoulders and pelvis. The results were starling and immediate. I have since had another baby, and with James’s continued guidance have continued this path through my pregnancy, breastfeeding and raising 2 kids. At times that I would have expected low energy or stamina, but I have felt, surprisingly, the opposite. I attribute this completely to my new approach to eating, and the easing of the discomfort in my inflamed joints and back pain. Moving and eating in a new way has made a huge impact on my life, and most importantly, has become a huge part of my life.
